STEG Sphere fire extinguishing devices based on thermo-activated gas-emitting fire extinguishing agents (FEA) are designed to suppress fires in volumes up to 2000 liters, such as distribution boards, electrical cabinets, control cabinets and panels, safes, valuables storage, block-module fuel storages, cable channels, and other objects with a protection degree of IP20 and above. The device is a modular autonomous fire extinguishing installation, which consists of a polymer tube containing a modified (micro-droplet) gas fire extinguishing agent (M-FEA) based on fluoroketone (which is a halon and fire extinguishing agent), as well as mounting means. The mounting means are intended for fixing the device in the protected volume and can be made in the form of metal brackets or plates. STEG Sphere is mounted inside, at the top point of the protected volume. In the event of a fire, the heat flow heats the device to the activation temperature (120°C), which leads to the destruction of the tube shell, the release of FEA, and creates conditions for stopping flaming combustion. The activation of STEG Sphere in the protected volume occurs without human intervention - autonomously.
