The damping tape made of foamed polyethylene is used in the creation of screed, as well as in the pouring of self-leveling floors to create a separating damping layer between the floor and the wall. It acts as a compensator, meaning that during the linear expansion of the mixture (when the material increases in volume), which occurs due to temperature fluctuations, it compresses, preventing pressure on the walls. Thus, the damping tape minimizes the risk of cracks and other deformations.
